The Symingtons are always good for a surprise. At the 2nd International Vintage Port Day in London, chief-winemaker Charles Symington revealed a complete vertical of Capela de Vesuvio Vintage Ports, including the latest 2022 vintage: black and red in colour with intense dark purple reflections. Explosive, powerful nose with balanced red berry fruit, cherry and chocolate, a hint of tobacco. Minimally sweet red berry fruit with raspberry, strawberry and coffee notes. Structured acidity and fine, ripe tannins. Medium-long finish 18/20
